Is Social Media Changing the Face of Politics?

Last night I co-moderated the fourth meeting of the Los Angeles chapter of the Social Media Club on how the internet factored in the 2008 election. 
There were several speakers from different places along the political spectrum.
Turn out was low, perhaps because folks were exhausted after since a lengthy campaign. I did meet some interesting folks, including the founders of these two great political action websites (click on logos for more info):
