Interesting article: “In Whose Interest: Do National Nonprofit Advocacy Organizations Represent the Under-represented?”
I recently came across this article (below picture) by Cynthia Gibson. Although it was written more than two years ago, I think it’s relevant to content development in today’s New Media/Social Web environment. One way that nonprofits can truly represent their constituents is by creating media WITH the people they serve; media content that derives directly from their experiences.
P.S. I’m thinking the masks in the accompanying art are meant to evoke ‘representation’, right?
