Happy 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights!

The blogosphere has been lit up with talk about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (see TakePart.com, FireDogLake, Boing Boing,  Standing FIRM, Beth’s Blog, GOOD, and Awearness all blogs in my RSS feed… ).  An earlier post here showcases a video by the Human Rights Action Center. They made a new one with celebrities here.

I love this photo of Eleanor Roosevelt (left). You can’t see her face but you can just sense her pride in the document.

I was excited to hear about a crowd-sourced intiative by WITNESS inviting everyone to share their “Image that Opened Their Eyes to Human Rights Abuses.”
